A Picaresque Novel by Stephanie Stahl |
|||||
| This is the story of an important year in the life of Samantha Seymour. Seasons change and so does she. While living on a mountain in Woodville, NC, her inquisitive nature compels her to explore her abilities and relationships. Parapsychology, her chosen profession, enriches her life with human understanding and the ability to accept the fact that some things will remain inexplicable. In time, she joins in the dance of life and, thanks to the ripple effect, the rewards are far-reaching. Matters of the heart will not allow mere mortals to live in a vacuum, as Samantha discovers. In the course of a year, her life is riddled with anomalous events. Yet, the most extraordinary experience is life itself. The tale is told in an episodic style. Each chapter is a story unto itself and each story is a chapter in Samantha’s life. As the novel unfolds, the protagonist widens her circle of friends and broadens her horizons. This format enables the book to discuss topics ranging from alternative energy sources to astronomy as well as parapsychology.
